I am looking for various designs of hog traps and gate release designs. If have a good design Please let me know. Pix would make it nice if available.
I am planning on using some of the 5X16 foot cattle panels. If little ones start getting out, then I will add some dog wire to the bottom. I am chosing the panels because of their light weight because I want to be able to place it by myself or with the use of a tractor.
Thanks in advance. Feel free to email me.

Over the weekend, a friend and I built a rabbit box style hog trap.
We built it 4' x 4' x 6' we built the frame out of 2" x 8" and 4" x 4" treated lumber.
We wrapped the frame with chainlink galvanized fence and secured the chainlink with 1 1/2" galvanized staples. It took about three hours to build.
We took it over to a nearby farmers pasture ( Hogs have been rooting up his pastures) on sunday afternoon. We set it up about 18" from barb wire fence, so to keep calves from getting into it. We baited it with 50# corn, some lemon jello, some old bread and a bag full of chocolate/peanut butter candy.
As of this morning , nothing has sprung trap.
Love to hear anyones thoughts on this design....
